These spa models are also convertible to 220 volts in the case you decide you want to hard wire them to a 220 volt power line instead of plugging them into a wall outlet so the choice is up to you. 

At 110 volts (standard power outlet) the heater is 1kw, but if you elect to install a 220 volt line, the heater automatically becomes a 4kw heater. 

Caution when buying plug and play spas online:  not all plug-in spas are convertible to 220 volt operation, however these factory direct, plug and play spa models below (Mystic, Riviera and Star Gazer) are convertible from 120 volt to 220 volt operation without needing any additional parts,  so you always have the choice on how you want to operate your spa.  To begin with, just fill with water, plug into standard wall outlet and enjoy!
