This is a 48 frame, through bolt design dual speed pump motor. 

Has threaded shaft and includes the through bolts. Works with hot tub pumps and uses start/run capacitor for efficiency (extra low running amps).

Note that this motor replaces older 1 1/2HP motors that ran on 10.3amps high speed. The amp rating and not the stated horsepower are better indications of matching motors to existing wet ends in the field.
