2 inch plumbing refers to inner diameter of the connecting hose. The outer diameter across pump threads is 3 1/16" to accommodate a 2 inch pump union that connects to 2 inch inner diameter hose/pipe/plumbing.
 

Can replace Executive 56 3HP 2-speed, 230v, side discharge, 2" in/out spa pumps.

Does not come with pump cord, so you can use your existing pump cord if it is serviceable or purchase a new cord depending on what type of connector you have (AMP white 4 pin plug, gray J&J connector, J&J mini connector..)

Wet End Rotation

If needed, ths spa pump wet end can be rotated in 90% increments. For increments to meet your installation requirements. Loosing the pump four thru-bolts from the back of the motor and pull them out 1/4 of an inch. You need to disengage them from the wet end. Then rotate the wet end to your desired position, realign and re-tighten the bolts back in.  The standard orientation is side discharge facing upwards as in the picture.
