Scum Away treats the build-up of body oils, lotions, etc. and freshens spa water for a clean smell. Initially add 1 ounce or 2 tablespoons per 500 gallons of circulating hot spa water every 2 days until the oils are removed. Do not have the chlorine or sanitizer at shock level. Raise the sanitizer after the oils are removed.

This product is a natural enzyme cleaner that eliminates the oils, lotions, and organics that cause unsightly scum and odors in pool and spa water. This product reduces the maintenance of filters and pool and spa surfaces, and is compatible with Bromine, Chlorine, Ozone and Peroxide based sanitizers.

Spa Breeze™ Scum Away cures cloudy and oily spa and hot tub water by digesting, biodegrading and removing the body oils that cause cloudy water. 

To begin with, add 1 ounce or 2 tablespoons of this product per 500 gallons of circulating hot spa water every 2 days until the oils are removed. Do not have the chlorine or sanitizer at shock level. Raise the sanitizer after the oils are removed.

The enzyme digesting action is slow and the oil buildup in a spa/hot tub is often considerable so it may take 10 to 15 days and 4 or 5 doses to noticeably remove all of the oil.

Every week add 1 ounce or 2 tablespoons per 500 gallons of spa/hot tub water to maintain clear water and an oil free condition. Do not over dose with more quantity or frequency as minor problems can develop. A slight increase in foaming might result initially but will ultimately be eliminated. For a cold spa/hot tub use the same dose but extend the period between doses to 7 to 10 days. The product is compatible with all spa/hot tub chemicals and filtration systems and will not result in a residue, sediment or by-product. A buildup of oils in the filter will also be removed. It is safe to use the spa/hot tub during and after treatment.
